GAME REMASTERING SERVICES

We help bring existing games up to modern standards with improved visuals, assets, UI, performance, and technical updates — without losing what made the original game work.

GAME REMASTERING EXPERTISE

Remastering is about making an existing game feel current again without losing what made the original work.

That might mean better visuals, updated assets, a cleaner UI, improved performance, or a mix of all of these.

Every project is different. Some games mainly need a visual upgrade, while others require deeper work across animation, rendering, UI, performance, and technical systems.

VSQUAD handles game remastering from the first review to the final build. We look at what is worth keeping, what needs an update, and where rebuilding parts of the game will give a better result.

Your Game Development Team

You do not need the most senior person by default. You need the right specialist at the right stage, within the project’s budget.

WHY STUDIOS WORK WITH VSQUAD

We modernize existing games across visuals, content, and technology without adding extra management overhead.

BUDGET CONTROL

Better visuals should not mean rebuilding everything from scratch.

Remastering budgets can grow quickly when every asset and system is treated as if it needs a complete overhaul. VSQUAD focuses production effort on the improvements that make the biggest difference, balancing quality goals with the available scope and budget. This helps teams achieve a meaningful upgrade without spending resources where the original content still works.

FEEDBACK NEVER LATE

Not every remastering challenge is visible in the original build.

New assets, materials, lighting, UI, and technical updates can reveal issues only after they come together in the game. VSQUAD evaluates these changes in context, adjusts priorities when needed, and resolves problems as they appear without letting them turn into costly rework or production delays.

RIGHT TEAM

The right remaster needs the right expertise in the right places.

Every remaster has a different production focus. One project may depend heavily on 3D art and textures, while another requires more work across UI, VFX, animation, rendering, or performance. VSQUAD builds the team around those priorities, bringing the right specialists into the project where their expertise has the most impact.

STUDIO, NOT A FREELANCER

A full remaster should not depend on one specialist.

Remastering often brings several disciplines together, from 3D art and textures to UI, VFX, animation, and technical optimization. VSQUAD works as a coordinated studio team, keeping production knowledge, communication, and responsibility inside the project. This gives teams continuity across different stages and disciplines without relying on a single person.

REAL PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE

We know how visual ambition behaves inside a real production pipeline.

A remaster has to look better without creating problems elsewhere in the game. Higher-quality assets can affect performance, new materials can change rendering costs, and visual upgrades can expose limitations in existing systems. VSQUAD considers these trade-offs throughout production, helping teams improve quality while keeping the build practical, stable, and technically manageable.

RIGHT SIZE

One asset group, one area of the game, or a full remaster — all are normal for us.

Some teams need help upgrading a specific part of the game, such as characters, environments, UI, or textures. Others need coordinated improvements across the entire project. VSQUAD can take on a focused production scope or support a full remaster, scaling the team and workload around what the game actually needs.

OUR GAME REMASTERING PROCESS

We take the existing game from initial assessment to a stable remastered build. The process covers scope definition, asset and visual upgrades, technical improvements, integration, testing, and final polish.

01. PROJECT ASSESSMENT

We review the existing build, source assets, engine setup, visual quality, UI, performance, and technical limitations. This helps define which parts of the game should remain unchanged and which areas require improvement.

02. REMASTERING PLAN

The target quality level and scope are defined before production begins. Assets and systems are grouped by what can be reused, enhanced, replaced, or rebuilt, with priorities based on their impact on the final game.

03. CONTENT & VISUAL UPGRADES

Characters, environments, props, textures, materials, lighting, VFX, animation, and UI are updated according to the agreed scope. Existing content is reused where it still meets the required quality level.

04. TECHNICAL OPTIMIZATION

Updated content is integrated into the game and tested against the target hardware. Rendering, memory usage, loading, shaders, assets, and other systems are optimized where required.

05. TESTING & FINAL POLISH

The remastered build is tested for visual consistency, gameplay functionality, performance, stability, and compatibility. Remaining issues are fixed and the final content is prepared for release.

    FAQ

Questions about game remastering, visual upgrades, technical improvements, or how we work?
You’ll find the key answers below. If your case is different, just reach out.

A remaster can cover 3D assets, textures, materials, lighting, VFX, animation, UI, audio, performance, and technical systems. The scope depends on the condition of the original game and the target quality level.
No. We first review the existing assets to see what can be reused or improved. Assets that no longer meet the required quality can be rebuilt from scratch.
Yes. The project can focus on specific areas such as characters, environments, textures, UI, VFX, or performance without remastering the entire game.
Yes, if preserving the original gameplay is part of the project scope. A remaster can improve the visual and technical side of the game without changing its core mechanics or overall feel.
Yes. Older games can be updated for modern PCs and consoles, including higher resolutions, new display formats, improved performance, updated rendering, and current hardware requirements.
It depends on the size of the game, the condition of the original assets and codebase, and how much needs to be updated or rebuilt. We define the scope and timeline after reviewing the existing project.
