At the blockout stage, we create the main shapes of the model, defining proportions and overall composition. After the blockout is approved, the detailing process begins. Using modern hard surface sculpting techniques, we add mechanical details, joints, panels, and other technical elements. At this stage, the skill of our artists comes to the forefront — every detail must look functional and aesthetically appealing.
Blender hard surface modeling provides powerful tools for creating complex technical shapes. We use modifiers, procedural techniques, and non-destructive methods, which allows us to quickly make changes and experiment with different design options.
Highly detailed models require optimization for use in games. Our team creates efficient game-ready topology, maintaining visual quality with a minimal number of polygons. We use normal baking and other detail maps to transfer the complexity of high-poly models to optimized geometry.
